October 25 in St.Petersburg Friends of the Baltic NGO has organized informational-methodical round table on SPARE. Within this round table the demonstrational informational and educational Ecocentrum and its exhibition on climate and energy was presented to the teachers, working on SPARE at schools and centers for additional education in St.Petersburg and Leningrad region, and for partners - Academy for post-graduate pedagogical education, and several NGOs working in educational sphere.
The exhibition shows all aspects of application of carbon fuel for energy supply, including acid rains, green house gas emission and climate change. Exhibition also shows examples of environmental, economical and social benefits of renewable energy sources and energy saving, possibilities for construction energy effective houses.
At the Ecocentrum the trainings for teachers and excursions for schoolchildren will be organized on the basis of exhibition, specially for teachers working or going to work on SPARE.
At the round table Representatives of Friends of the Baltic and Academy for post-graduate pedagogical education have agreed about short-term courses on climate and energy issue and SPARE educational methods for teachers, re-trained at the Academy.
Within the round table Friends of the Baltic had rewarded winners of All-Russian competition "Energy and Environment" of 2006-2007 school year: two teachers and one school boy were rewarded with diplomas and prizes. Competition work of St.Petersburg teachers "Lesson on Energy Efficiency - Mystery of Evident" has got diploma at the International competition.
The competition 2007-2008 for St.Petersburg and Leningrad region, so as All-Russian and International competitions "Energy and Environment" were announced at the round table.
